October 15, 2024 INTERNATIONAL RURAL WOMEN'S DAY

AAFEBEN organized an event called « Women's College » from October 12 to 14, 2024, in the Commune of Yokadouma.

It is under the theme: « Rural Women and Import Substitution: Opportunities and Challenges » that the 29th edition of the International Day of Rural Women in Cameroon is celebrated on October 15, 2024, in Cameroon, as recognized by the United Nations.

In prelude to this day, AAFEBEN organized an event called « Women's College » from October 12 to 14, 2024, in the Commune of Yokadouma. The objective of these meetings was to strengthen the capacities of rural women in leadership and female entrepreneurship. To this end, about eighty rural women participated in training workshops that focused on 05 sectors: fish farming, snail farming, « fosse » farming, feed (provender) manufacturing, and rice cultivation. Beyond entrepreneurial training, rural women were also trained in female leadership.

All these energies deployed on the ground sufficiently demonstrate AAFEBEN's willingness to empower a large number of women so that they valiantly take care of themselves and their communities.
